Pond no. 1 from the Doripesco base Vadu Roşu is first of all a breeding pond where common carps, Prussian carps and breams.

All the ponds from the fishing complex in Vadu Roşu are declared sit Natura 2000, the fishing exploits being performed in accordance with the effective norms concerning protected areas.

Normally the pond is not open neither to the recreational fishing, nor to amateur fishing but, along the years several fishing contests were organized.
